2 METERS: Deivis Norvilas and Rafailas Karpis announce NEW YEAR'S SHOW at Palanga Concert Hall
After a successful tour throughout Lithuania, the project "2 METRAI" said goodbye to the packed Palanga Concert Hall with the program "The Happiest Concert of the Year". However, the farewell is only temporary. Deividas Norvilas-Deivis and Rafailas Karpis are already preparing a new surprise for the audience and a return to the Palanga Concert Hall on December 31 with an exclusive live New Year's show.
The new program "The Happiest Christmas Show", directed by Andrius Žiurauskas, will be presented in December and will be much more than a concert. The audience will be treated to a spectacle combining elements of a concert, a performance, a comedy show and a show with LED screen visualizations, impressive scenography, lighting solutions, specially created music and unexpected surprises.
"Christmas is a time of miracles not only for the audience, but also for us, the performers, so we will try to create a miracle on stage. We are preparing many interesting ideas that, we hope, will lift people into a real Christmas and New Year's mood," says Rafailas.
"There will be Christmas songs, there will be surprises. We will definitely do everything the way we always do - with lots of laughter," adds Davis.
The organizers of "Pepper Live" hint that the audience will be treated to not only new original songs, but also unexpected interpretations of popular works. One thing the team can promise right now - there will be no pigeons flying in this show. However, the organizers do not take responsibility for all the other surprises waiting on stage.
During the "Happiest Concert of the Year" tour, which lasted more than half a year, the duo traveled around Lithuania, held several dozen concerts and, as they joke, managed to get to know each other better.
"My favorite quality about Dave is that he's the only colleague who doesn't block me on stage. The worst quality? He's very annoying - he keeps getting caught in the middle, he's always having trouble with something. Although, to be honest, the only person who's more annoying than him is probably me," laughs Rafailas.
Davis also lists his stage partner's flaws with a smile.
"Rafail's worst trait is that when he travels, he chooses particularly bad restaurants for the whole team to go to. And the good trait is that when he realizes where he's brought us, he pays for everyone," says the artist.
It was the duo's openness that became one of the ingredients for the success of the "2 METRAI" project. According to Rafail, viewers like to see real people, not staged characters.
"We are not afraid to express real feelings on stage - to get angry or put each other in their place. If we are not the best duo in Lithuania, then we are definitely one of the most sincere. We are not pretending," he says.
During the tour, the duo proved that they complement each other perfectly not only on stage, but also behind the scenes.
"We complement each other with food, usually low-calorie, because Rafail takes care of not only his figure, but also mine," says Deivis seriously.
