The watchmaker's assistant's childhood was poor

Adriano won this contest and received a prize of 100 lire.
More than 600 songs
Adriano Celentano has starred in more than 40 films. And during his acting career, he appeared before the audience in a variety of roles. One of the most unexpected assignments was to play the role of a man-ape in the film "Bingo-Bongo", because the actor almost did not need to learn words: the character made only inarticulate sounds.
It's true that Adriano himself calls himself more of a singer than an actor. And he has reached impressive heights on the music scene.
Adriano Celentano became one of the first rock and roll and rap artists to sing in Italian. Back in the early 1970s, he recorded a composition of invented and meaningless words “Prisencolinensinainciusol”, wanting to show the division of people. Musical recitation became one of Adriano’s first rap experiments. By the way, “Prisencolinensinainciusol” stayed at the top of the European hit parades for a long time and even entered the list of most popular songs in the USA. And in some other songs, Celentano used his own invented mixture of English and Italian, “celentanesko”.
During his creative period, Adriano recorded more than 600 songs and 30 albums. Celentano's hits - Va, Soli, Azzurro, Una Festa Sui Prati, Ciao Ragazzi and many others - conquered the whole world.
