The Seventh International PutschYo soymusic festival "Amber Wind 2025 invitedhere for an exclusive gala concert.
The largest wind music festival on the coast, Amber Wind, is inviting you to a musical celebration for the seventh time, where this year the USAREUR-AF Dixieland Orchestra and Choir Rhine River Ramblers will present a special evening. This is an extraordinary opportunity to hear a group that conveys the authentic musical spirit and cultural heritage of America through its performances.
Eight musicians – seven wind instrument masters and an energetic drummer – invite you to embark on a musical journey through the pages of American history. This ensemble, considered the oldest small-format US military orchestra, fascinates not only with its professionalism, but also with its unfading energy and authentic jazz sound. Their concerts bring to life New Orleans jazz, rock, pop music and many other genres that captivate with rhythm and emotion.
The Amber Wind Festival, held since 2017, has become a significant part of Palanga's cultural life - it is like a bridge between the rich, two-century-old tradition of orchestral music and contemporary international creativity. This platform brings together professional musicians, fosters community, encourages exchange between Lithuanian and foreign performers, and most importantly - invites the public to rediscover the beauty, versatility and artistic value of the wind music genre.
The epigraph for the 2025 festival is a line from Kae Tempest's work "Hold Your Own" - one of the most prominent contemporary voices in the world of poetry and music:
"When time pulls lives apart / Hold your own / When everything is fluid, / and when nothing can be known with any certainty / Hold your own."
It is an invitation to stand by oneself, one's values, one's community, to bravely step into the unknown, and to be a support for one another. Such a view of the world sounds especially relevant in the context of current geopolitical challenges.
The gala concert is free, but we invite all those who wish to participate to make a donation to the non-governmental organization "Blue/Yellow" by calling 1499 (donation - 10 EUR). This is not only a contribution to support, but also a symbolic ticket to the evening's musical journey.
