Premiere! Live sound concert with a touch of comedy "Cabaret among the Mills" with Lina Rastokaite, Jokūbas Bareikis and insanely fantastic musicians!
Maestro Vytautas Kernagis was always accompanied by a shrill laugh and a sense of humor. It is this quality of his that we want to transfer to the stage this time — we will hear a lot of laughter, a lot of gentle irony, stories from his life and, of course, songs from the musical stage of the cabaret "Tarp Girnų", which was a kind of protest, a move against the system, a subtle expression of love for Lithuania, using humor and irony. And as long as his songs sound, he is still alive with us, as long as his music sounds, our hearts all beat in the same rhythm.
The cabaret scenography, created and produced especially for this show, will playfully combine retro and modern aesthetics: sparkling accents, props and lighting design will create a space where artists will be able to freely develop a musical story, creating a festive atmosphere inviting to laugh, clap, sing and dance together. The atmosphere will balance between nostalgic melancholy and sharp, witty humor; conversations with the audience will involve them in the action, and music and words will intertwine into a lively, rhythmic narrative. This concert is a performance that will encourage you to travel to a short, provocative reflection - it is an evening in which each viewer will become a part of the cabaret choreography.
Lina Rastokaitė, Jokūbas Bareikis, together with a team of musicians, will take you to a living story, to a story full of self-irony, in which we will briefly close the door to the gray world. Here we will hear pieces from the album Cabaret “Between the Mills” — we will experience how free we are, how big we are — with open hearts and always remembering where we come from. We invite you to a unique theatrical musical show on July 5th at the Palanga Concert Hall!
