Who wouldn't want to know all the secrets of their significant other? What if the Court ordered them to reveal those secrets?
The Court is a wild one-act comedy about marriage, the illusions of long-term relationships, the truth, and the all-giving... new underwear.
A suspicious Wife (Ineta Stasiulytė) invites her Husband (Kęstutis Cicėnas) to eat cottage cheese pancakes, but instead of lunch they go straight to the Courthouse, where they are greeted by the Judge (Larisa Kalpokaitė).
The search for the truth turns into an absurd battle, the most intimate secrets of the house and a bunch of accusations. Is having secrets a crime? Who in the house screws the cucumbers too tightly? Is a hole in the underwear proof? Underneath the exaggerated emotions and unfounded accusations, true feelings, longing for love and deceptions are hidden. The Court will solve them all!
The Court is a comedy full of real, heartfelt humanity about couples' miscommunication, male logic, female intuition, and the desire to be "right" at all costs. But is there true love in the truth?
The play invites the audience into a laughter-filled courtroom where no one is guilty – and everyone is still guilty because they want to be loved.
