SIELOS is one of the largest and most deeply traditional Christian events in Lithuania, organized since 2002. It is intended to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ through art and music, experience communion in His love, grow in faith, and share it with those who are seeking or who do not believe.
SIELOS is a celebration dedicated to the entire Lithuanian society. Christians of all denominations are welcome, as well as non-believers or seekers, young or old, of all professions and nationalities. Young people, who are the future of Lithuania, are especially welcome. The festival aims to help young people discover the true meaning of life and build their lives on the fundamental Christian values: faith, hope and love. Hope is needed more than ever to help Lithuania, which is suffering from a suicide epidemic.
SIELOS is also a cultural event. The festival creates conditions for Christian artists from all over Lithuania to present their work and through it to share their faith and witness God's work in their lives. The event welcomes both artists who have achieved a high level of mastery and those who are just starting out. In order to maintain the quality of the event and help the creators grow, their selection is carried out.
What is the festival's mission?
To introduce the public to contemporary Christian music and other forms of Christian artistic expression and to encourage and support its creators.
What are the goals of the festival?
- To promote the dissemination of contemporary Christian music and arts in Lithuania.
- To spread the Good News through various contemporary forms of artistic expression.
- To introduce contemporary Christian music groups and performers and contemporary Christian art creators to the public.
- To encourage young believers not to be ashamed of their values and to create a different Lithuania.
- Share your faith and values with other believers and non-believers.
- To be a counterweight to the culture of drugs and aggression, to sing and talk about a different life.
Why participate?
Contemporary Christian music has been around in Lithuania for several years, but it is still difficult for a young, creative Christian to present their work. The popular music market is flooded with works of dubious musical value and preaching dubious values. This festival is a great opportunity for a young creator to reveal themselves and grow.
Participants can expect a week-long free program. For two decades, SIELOS was dedicated solely to music, but in 2021, with the 20th anniversary event taking place in Palanga, the festival's organizational team decided to enter its 30th year by expanding the one-day music festival into a week-long festival of Christian art, starting with photography and painting and ending with sculpture, dance, theater, and poetry.
During the festival, meetings with performers are organized to inspire young people to dedicate their talents and gifts to noble causes. The aim is especially to inspire local youth to be creative and responsible in society, creating the well-being of their city.
The festival is vitally important for everyone who seeks the truth and wants to create a beautiful, bright, and full of truth and kindness Lithuania's future around themselves. The festival aims to encourage young Christians to bring eternal values to their peers and to ignite Lithuanian youth to live a virtuous life every day, full of love for God, neighbor, and homeland.
All the organizational work of the festival is carried out by a team of professional volunteers. The financial costs of the event are covered by donations from ordinary people and private sponsors. Since 2021, the event has been partially supported by the Palanga Municipality.
