in 2024 November 16 16 p.m. we invite you to the opening of the exhibition.
In 2014, the group of painters Mēlynas menas started an active activity that has lasted for a whole decade. Blue art is an informal group uniting painters, which consists of painters from Kaunas, Vilnius, Trakai and Klaipėda regions. The group currently has 10 members: Gitas Markutis, Marius Morkūnas, Indrė Makelytė – Morkūnė, Ieva Grunskytė, Marija Mazeikaitė, Loreta Markutienė, Fausta Kybartienė, Nijolė Mečkovskaja, Jolanta Čiaglienė, Sergejus Razinas.
A group of painters presents the exhibition "Silence between the waters". The landscape plays an important role in the work of this group. Landscape painting in their works is diverse. This was apparently influenced by plein air art, which encouraged the authors to convey the direct impressions experienced in nature. Grayish blue or light blue colors dominate the work of artists. This color is reminiscent of the Pomeranian region, where the members of this group come and create every year. There is a group of artists who created a romantic image of the sea. Others tried to convey various states of the elements, the bright daylight and their inner experiences. There are also artists in the group whose works reflect abstraction. In their work, they tried to abstract the forms of nature, depicted the feeling of light and wind in the images of the seaside and harbors.
All guests of the city of Palanga are invited to this event.
