Jurga Šeduikytė: “We still carry the map of light within us”

2026/03/05

On March 14, a special, heartwarming evening will take place at the Palanga Concert Hall - "Concert of Kindness" with Jurga Šeduikytė. This is not just music. This is an event that spreads an important message and invites you to contribute to the social project "Stronger Together".

This support is to help women who, even when faced with life's challenges, remain courageous and strive for a better future for themselves and their children.

As Jurga Šeduikytė says, she has repeatedly had to participate in women's support projects, because she herself has faced difficult situations when support and assistance from abroad were especially needed.

"The time for kindness is always right. It's good to extend a helping hand to those who need it most right now, so I sincerely invite everyone to come to the concert and contribute to this beautiful campaign," the performer invites.

The initiator of the event is the women's organization "Ladies Circle Lithuania". "We are pleased that J. Šeduikytė is joining our fourth "Kindness Concert". She is not only a talented performer, but also a sensitive, socially active personality. In her work and public initiatives, she speaks about inner strength, self-esteem, and emotional health.

"It was important to us that the face of the event reflected its essence – authenticity, sensitivity and the courage to speak about what is important. Jurga naturally became the symbol of this evening," says Irma Krištopaitienė, president of the women's club.

The most touching moment of the evening will be a song from the movie

J. Šeduikytė is a performer who is able to touch the most protected places of the human soul. Her music opens up space to breathe, to feel, and reminds us that each of us, no matter how tired or confused we may be, still carries a map of light within us.

Jurga is convinced that if a performer's name helps to attract attention and contributes to solving human problems, then their activity is truly meaningful. That is why both the performer and Ladies Circle Lithuania became ambassadors of the "1000 Women Project" initiated by WoW University. "This project creates conditions for women to gain the missing knowledge and stand on their own feet. I believe that it is important to move from the position of a victim to the position of the author of their own life," the interviewee is convinced.

Perhaps the most touching moment of the concert evening will be the song "The Whole Sky for You" from the film "The Heart of a Butterfly" (dir. I. Kurklietytė). It is a piece that, like a gentle hand, embraces and quietly reminds us that even when we are afraid, we are not alone: "Just don't push me away, I beg you / I'm afraid too, I'm afraid too / Rise up, spread your wings / The whole sky for you, the whole sky for you..." These words are like a reassurance and a silent promise to all women.

"I am glad that we will be on stage with the incredibly sensitive pianist and long-time stage partner Kęstutis Pavalkis. Thanks to him, the songs turn into spacious stories, and the dreamy airplanes, which have already become an exclusive symbol of the experiential concert, fly warmth straight to the hearts of the listeners. We have also planned to perform several premieres. We are preparing, rehearsing and waiting for everyone who cares on March 14," Jurga shared her creative ideas.

Everyone becomes part of a common heart

This year's "Concert of Kindness" is already the fourth. Four years ago, the team of the "Ladies Circle Lithuania" club had the idea to organize a public event, during which the funds raised would be allocated to a social project. That public event became a concert with the contemporary jazz choir "Singphonics".

In 2024, Liudas Mikalauskas, one of the most famous Lithuanian bassists of the young generation, joined the initiative. Last year, the organization managed to invite famous performer Lina Adomaitis, who this year passes the baton to J. Šeduikytė.

This year's "Concert of Kindness" is closely intertwined with the "1000 Women Project" in its goals - participants of this initiative are invited to visit the event for free and feel the support of the community. According to Agnė Baubonytė, a long-time member of "Ladies Circle Lithuania", this initiative helps single mothers restore their self-confidence and return to the labor market more easily.

"When I heard about this project, it resonated with me very strongly - it was close to my personal experience. Being a single mother myself, I remember very well that moment of confusion when, as your child's first birthday approaches, you start thinking about returning to the job market, and in your head - complete uncertainty. It was that year that I became a student at WoW University."

"This was the beginning of my journey: how to move from a state of "I don't know how to continue" to "I have a goal and an action plan." So I sincerely believe that this six-month journey of self-knowledge is exactly what women who find themselves at a similar crossroads need," says A. Baubonytė.

As Agnė says, “The Kindness Concert” was born from the desire to create as many stories of kindness as possible and to have a real opportunity to help. The international organization “Ladies Circle International” itself stands on two fundamental pillars: friendship and service. “It is from this female community that the natural desire to act and help others is born, and thanks to music we unite for a common goal.

This evening is unique in its atmosphere - kindness is simply in the air. It is more than a concert, it is a feeling of infinite gratitude.

"For us, women who are not professional event or concert organizers in our daily lives, it is like a miracle every time: without large advertising budgets, guided only by faith and real steps towards the goal, we are able to gather a full hall of listeners. Everyone who comes becomes a part of this help and a big, common heart," says A. Baubonytė happily.

The month of March was chosen for the concert not by chance. This month is a time of support and social initiatives, known in the international community as “Charity March”. At this time, special attention is paid to social activities throughout the world of “Ladies Circle International”, so this concert is a beautiful contribution and a bright welcome to spring.

The goal is to create a more sensitive and safer society

The concert in Palanga will also embrace the women under the care of Ladies Circle Lithuania. The organization's project "Stronger Together" consistently supports those facing difficult life challenges - single mothers or women experiencing emotional and social difficulties.

This evening becomes another opportunity to draw attention to the challenges they face and provide the necessary community support.

One such woman is Lidija, a participant in the "Stronger Together" and "1000 Women" programs of the "WOW University".

At this stage of her life, she experiences many emotional and physical challenges – raising young twins, one of whom has a complex disability. “Despite facing health problems herself, Lidija gives herself completely to her children – to their daily needs, strength and future.

At the same time, she is looking for opportunities for her personal self-realization, trying not to lose faith in herself and building a stronger foundation for tomorrow. We want to help her become a pillar - to provide more stability so that she can stand on her feet more firmly, take care of her health and emotional balance.

We believe that by taking care of herself, she will be even stronger in her ability to walk the path of her trials and courageously create a future for herself and her children, says I. Krištopaitienė, President of Ladies Circle Lithuania. Our goal is not only financial support. We strive to create a safe space where a woman can say: “It’s hard for me” and hear the answer: “You are not alone.”

What motivates the members of Ladies Circle Lithuania to engage in unpaid voluntary social activities? According to I. Krištopaitienė, women are united by a common understanding that if we can, we must help. The belief that even a small action can make a big difference in another person's life.

"However, the greatest motivation is very simple and comes from within - from a sincere desire to create a safer, more sensitive and more supportive society. You feel it most strongly when you see a woman who, after a difficult period, begins to believe in herself again - then you realize that all the time, effort and heart invested were worth every minute," the president of the women's club has no doubt.

Everyone can contribute to the noble initiatives of Ladies Circle Lithuania by coming to the March 14 concert at the Palanga Concert Hall or by giving tickets to loved ones, colleagues or friends. You can also purchase a Patron ticket and enjoy the concert in the best seats and contribute even more significantly.
