The spontaneous decision of “Delfinai” to hold another concert perfectly reflects the band members, because the idea to return to the stage after 20 years was born in exactly the same way – when Stano and Sweet unexpectedly met after more than a decade. On July 6, the evening of Lithuania’s State Day, the band will perform at the Palanga Concert Hall.

The guys, who dreamed of a career and fame in their teens, founded the band "Delfinai" while still at school, and the song "Svajonės", recorded in the 11th grade and released in 2000, became a super hit and catapulted the band members to fame. The band won awards, became one of the most popular in Lithuania, and released a total of 8 albums.

During the holiday weekend, stars of the 2000s Elena Puidokaitė-Atlanta and Edilija Nikartaitė will perform on stage at the seaside together with "Delfinais", and the audience will sing along to such legendary hits as "Saulė", "Svajonės", "Kai tu šalė", "Zvaigždė", "Žemyn", "Man reikia tėvės", "Ačiū tau", "Apie Ją", "Viskas bus gerai" and many others.

After an impressive arena show in Vilnius, singer Evgenya Redko continues her musical journey - this time she invites you to meet her at the seaside. On July 25, her only solo concert this summer will take place at the Palanga Concert Hall.

Evgenya Redko, who stands out in the Lithuanian music world with her authentic style and unique voice, admits that she feels best on stage, and her music has the ability to inspire others.

“Every moment on stage reminds me how good it is to be myself,” says Evgenya Redko. “The greatest gift right now is the opportunity to share my music and through it inspire others to open up, to let themselves feel, to be true to themselves.”

This spring, Evgenya Redko's arena show in Vilnius became a true celebration of otherness and uniqueness, and in Palanga on July 25, this journey will continue - even deeper into music, into yourself, into what cannot be put into words. Sound, light, dance, costumes and strong emotions - all this will come together in the singer's one and only solo performance this summer.

Having completed the biggest tour of her career, pianist Ieva Dūdaitė does not plan to stop.

According to a press release, on August 14, she will hold a special concert "Piano Summer" in Palanga, where she will delight the audience with classical and popular music, original works, and a unique luminous piano.

Last year, Ieva took on the biggest challenge of her career to date – to become the first pianist in Lithuania to tour arenas. The Grand Piano Show project, which launched in Palanga in December, received excellent feedback from the audience, so the second performance in Vilnius was watched by four times more spectators, and the tour finale in Kaunas in March became the largest piano concert in the country's history.

"With the team, we created not only a show, but also a phenomenon in Lithuania. Words are not enough to describe the gratitude I feel for everyone who came, who believed in me, who wrote me the most beautiful messages. It is unreal to hear that after the show people want to learn to play the piano themselves. This inspires me to try even harder, work, create and move forward," says I. Dūdaitė.

After the tour, it became clear that the musician and performer already has new ideas - today it was revealed that Ieva will hold her only performance at the seaside this summer on August 14 at the Palanga Concert Hall.

"I am extremely happy to invite everyone to meet in Palanga. We will return to where it all began, where the first Grand Piano Show took place. This tour has given me invaluable experience and valuable lessons, thanks to which we can create an even better event for the audience. My head is already full of ideas about what new things we can show people in the summer," says the pianist.

The event organizers, Seven Live, reveal that the audience will be treated to a special program at the Piano Summer performance, which will feature I. Dūdaitė's original work, contemporary popular and classical music, and the pianist will perform the pieces on a luminous piano specially created for her.

Playing since the age of six, I. Dūdaitė spent a third of her life abroad, where she released 3 albums, appeared in the most famous concert halls in Europe, and performed for the presidents of Lithuania, Poland, and Italy, as well as the Dutch royal family. After 11 years abroad, the pianist returned to her homeland and only then was she discovered by listeners in her own country.

Phil Bates was born on March 1953, 30 in Tamworth, Staffordshire, and discovered his love for music at an early age. At the age of twelve, he formed his first band, The Wild Four, which later became The Teenbeats. Soon after, Phil left his hometown and moved to the UK capital, where he joined the heavy rock band JUG (later Quill), collaborated with guitarist Duane Eddy, and participated in various musical projects that resonated in the wild London scene of the XNUMXs.

In 1980, Phil Bates met producer Colin Thurston and contributed to the early recordings of the band Duran Duran. However, the decisive year in his career was 1993, when Phil became a member of the band ELO Part II. With this famous group, the musician traveled half the world in six years and significantly contributed to the birth of the ELO Part II album Moment Of Truth, which he co-produced and arranged. In 2007, Phil became a part of another famous band - The Orchestra.

To this day, Phil Bates remains a prominent figure in the music scene. Whether performing as a solo artist or contributing to other creative projects, he continues to share his exceptional talent with the audience. The aim of the project: Promote the competitiveness of European coastal tourism companies, strengthening international capabilities, and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The oratorio "Mončys", which became one of the most prominent events of the Lithuanian season in France 2024, returns to Palanga on February 16 (Sunday) at 14 p.m. We are proud of this event, because in Lithuania, specifically in Palanga, the oratorio "Mončys" will be performed for only the second time.

The authors of the project idea – ethnographer Zita Baniulaitytė, head of the Palanga Cultural Center folklore ensemble “Mėguva” and the head of the Palanga Chamber Choir, Edmundas Jucevičius, do not hide their admiration for the personality of the sculptor A. Mončys. Namely The creator's charisma and works inspired the creation of this spectacle, which features more than 60 performers and includes unique traditional Samogitian instruments, whistles, percussion, folklore ensemble performances, electronic music, and polyphonic choir sounds.

The unique project created by Palangiškės – the oratorio “Mončys”, which combines various musical experiences, will continue to follow in the footsteps of the sculptor Antanas Mončys not only in Lithuania, but also abroad.

The evening's guests were welcomed by Palanga City Mayor Šarūnas Vaitkus, who was pleased that this city has been hosting an event with deep charitable traditions for several years, according to a press release.

The main goal and mission is to share kindness together

The 27th charity event was organized by the Palanga Hotel and Restaurant Association (PVRA) together with the Palanga Rotary Club. All funds raised during the charity event were allocated to the emotional support service “Jaunimo linija”, the Palanga Youth and Volunteering Center, as well as the Palanga City Nursing Home. The event organizers were pleased that this year an impressive amount of over 60 thousand euros (excluding event costs) was collected, obtained by selling tickets, organizing a lottery and an auction.

The main goal and mission of the support event is to share kindness together. And everyone could contribute to this noble goal: by buying tickets to the Kastytis Kerbedis concert, as well as by purchasing a ticket to the Gala dinner and auction. The solemn event was hosted by former TV presenter, educationist Laura Imbrasienė. The charity auction was conducted by well-known journalist and public figure Edmundas Jakilaitis. An auction of works of art, jewelry, sports paraphernalia, and a special lottery were held during the event. Paintings by Lithuanian artists Paulė Visockytė, Virginijus Viningas, Irmina Viningienė, Šarūnas Šarkauskas, Marius Morkūnas, and other authors were available for purchase at the auction. As well as exclusive diamond jewelry from the jewelry house "Diamante", a signed T-shirt by racer Vaidotas Žala, and a dinner with Palanga Mayor Š. Vaitkus, an inspiration session with Beata Nicholson, a trip around the Curonian Lagoon and the Wilhelmshaven Canal on a boat led by Captain E. Jakilaitis.

Every year, the organizers of the event “Star of Hope” responsibly choose which project they could contribute to. According to the president of PVRA, Laura Taučiūtė, this year there was unanimous support for the idea that a particularly sensitive and important part of our society is youth. According to L. Taučiūtė, many psychological experiences cause increasing destruction in a young person’s inner world. “We see how much the number of suicides has increased in our country, how much the help of psychologists is needed. And most importantly, a young person needs to feel and know that he is not alone,” one of the organizers of the event is convinced. According to L. Taučiūtė, this is why all the arguments led to providing support to the emotional support service “Youth Line”, which provides free assistance to young people. The active woman, together with like-minded people, is striving for effective assistance to be provided at the Palanga Youth and Volunteering Center: here, psychologists and other qualified specialists could urgently help a young person.

According to Martinas Kolakauskas, president of the Palanga Rotary Club, youth is our future. “This will be a lesson for them and I hope that they will learn to share when they are mature,” said M. Kolakauskas. He also noted that it is a very nice connection that part of the collected support will also be allocated to the seniors of Palanga, as a thank you for the good lessons for the younger generation. M. Kolakauskas is convinced that the traditions of charity and providing support create a great impact on society. They promote solidarity, empathy and community, help people understand the needs of others and contribute to creating a better life. In addition, they can change people's worldview, encouraging them to take more care not only of themselves, but also of those around them. Charity events can increase social sensitivity and stimulate discussions on important topics.

Mission – to help young people who face challenges today

The first part of the event “Star of Hope” featured an exclusive concert by singer K. Kerbedis. “I am very happy that my songs were performed at this event, because it is always extremely pleasant for me to contribute to such beautiful initiatives. After all, together we can help each other find the path to strength,” said the famous performer. K. Kerbedis supported the idea of ​​allocating funds specifically to solving youth problems. According to the performer, participation in such an event gives him the opportunity to contribute to an important mission – to help youth, who are facing great challenges today. “It has always been important to me to contribute to initiatives that bring light and help to those who need it. Working with children, I see the importance of support and community. The “Star of Hope” support evening is not only a beautiful tradition, but also a real opportunity to help. It is a great honor for me to be a part of this evening and to contribute to a noble goal with my voice,” said L. Imbrasienė after the event.

According to L. Imbrasienė, dedicating the majority of the funds raised to solving youth problems is a very meaningful choice. “Youth is a period of searching, questions and sometimes loneliness. It is very important that young people have somewhere to turn when they are having a hard time, when they are looking for answers or want to contribute to meaningful activities. “Youth Line” and “Palangas Youth and Volunteering Center” are places where security, support and growth are created. I am very happy that this year these organizations will receive support,” said the host of the evening. Journalist E. Jakilaitis said that he agreed to be the host of the charity auction without hesitation. “I was invited by the president of the Palanga Hotel and Restaurant Association. I already knew that these auctions are successful every year. It is important for me to contribute to a meaningful idea,” said the famous man.

E. Jakilaitis admitted that he had recently rediscovered Palanga: “Not only the resort itself, but, more precisely, the leaders of the communities of this city.” Last year, he even had the opportunity to organize the first-ever Seniors’ Week in Palanga on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons. The journalist noticed that recently the Palanga city municipality has been paying great attention to youth problems: the Youth and Volunteering Center was recently established. “It seems to me that it is very important to bring young people together, to help them find a sense of community so that they do not feel alone with their problems,” E. According to the founder of this company, Rokas Galvonas, he wanted to contribute to the charitable initiative, showing that the company he leads is not only profitable, but also socially responsible. "Doing good is fun," said R. Galvonas, adding that the "Grandma's Restaurant" he founded in Palanga is also a social campaign.

The restaurant manager and owner was very happy to hear that the funds raised would be used to solve youth problems. “Today, a black mark falls on the young generation. And as a businessman, I have noticed that modern youth are lazy to work and only want quick income,” R. Galvonas shared his observations. Being young himself, Rokas has golden advice for representatives of his generation, which he himself has always followed – to concentrate on work, on his activities: “You need to work, work and work again. And don’t expect that everything will be handed to you on a plate.”

According to Aida Aleksandrovienė, director of the Palanga Concert Hall, their company itself suggested to the organizers of the "Star of Hope" to move to the largest space in the resort this year and hopes that this beautiful tradition will be continued. "We noticed that the event is growing more and more every year, so it needs a completely different space. Palanga residents and city guests notice that even when the weather is cold, the streets of this resort are full of vacationers, and hotel reservations for weekends are made well in advance. People from all over Lithuania come to the seaside not only to relax, walk along the winter beach, and admire the sea. They also actively attend events and concerts held at the Palanga Concert Hall, which are offered throughout the year.  

From a summer stage to a full-season hall  

Palanga, famous for many years as the summer capital, is today becoming increasingly prominent on the Lithuanian and European cultural map. There is no question that this process was greatly influenced by the Palanga Concert Hall, which opened its doors a little over a decade ago and became one of the largest new cultural objects in Lithuania, characterized by unique possibilities for transforming spaces. It was a very ambitious project that allowed the transformation of the old summer stage into a modern multifunctional center.    

The emergence of the Palanga Concert Hall also allowed to solve the problem of seasonality of events in the city, but this required significant investments, careful planning and many years of work. One of the biggest challenges was to change the public opinion about Palanga as just a summer resort, gain the trust of the public and performers, and prove that cultural life here can be uninterrupted all year round.    

To Palanga – from all regions of Lithuania    

This seaside resort, famous not only for its beautiful landscape but also for its intense cultural life, is being chosen by more and more visitors from all over Lithuania. Ticket distributors' data show that tickets for events are purchased by residents from all regions of the country, especially from the major cities: Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai. Customers from these cities account for about 70 percent of the visitor flow. About 39 percent of all guests came to events at the Palanga Concert Hall from the capital alone. 

Other tickets are purchased not only in the Klaipėda region, but also in other Lithuanian cities: Tauragė, Panevėžys, Plungė, Alytus, Marijampolė, Vievis, Ignalina, Elektrėnai, Molėtai, Druskininkai and other cities. Guests from abroad also actively visited the events: Riga, Oslo, Copenhagen, Dublin, Manchester, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Luxembourg, Zakopane, Paris, Milan, Liverpool, New York, Dallas and others.   

In 2024, the number of events organized at the Palanga Concert Hall increased significantly compared to previous years. During the year, 132 events were organized here, which were visited by just over 123 thousand guests. As many as 78 events took place outside the summer season. As many as 90 entire weekends were reserved for concerts, performances, conferences and events.  

This year, even greater interest is expected, as the repertoire of events of various genres is no less colorful. Palanga residents joke that the Palanga Concert Hall could be boldly renamed the Lithuanian Concert Hall.            

Risen to a higher level

According to Palanga City Mayor Šarūnas Vaitkus, the Palanga Concert Hall has a very significant influence on the cultural life of the resort, significantly enriching it and raising it to a much higher level.     

“One of the priorities of the city of Palanga is culture, so this indoor hall was built primarily so that concerts and other events could be held in the city not only in the summer. The high-quality concert hall was probably the main reason that allowed Palanga to host a prestigious wind music event in 2024 – the European Brass Band Championship. It is also important that this modern hall, which can accommodate over 2 thousand spectators, hosts not only concerts or ceremonial city events, but also high-level republican or even international conferences, such as “Breaking Point”, which invite true professionals in their field to Palanga,” says the Mayor of Palanga. Š. Vaitkus also revealed that the cultural life of this resort will soon expand even further, as a construction permit for the planned Music and Art House has already been received. An impressive Music and Art House will be built behind the Palanga Concert Hall. These buildings will form a common music complex.

Cultural life is in full swing: world-famous music legends will perform     

Modern equipment, excellent acoustics, and precisely planned spaces have attracted both local and international performers and events. The hall has become a center of attraction for various music genres, theater, conferences, and other events.    

On January 31, the charity event "Star of Hope" will be held at the Palanga Concert Hall, where songs by Kastytis Kerbedis will be played and invited to share kindness. In early February, Česlovas Gabalis will invite you to embark on a journey through the sounds of music in February, together with the instrumental ensemble "Vilniaus divertismas". Soon, well-known music creators Rokas Yan and Vidas Bareikis will also delight their fans with performances. On Valentine's Day, the group "The Roop" will invite lonely and in love hearts to meet together.  

Also, for the first time in Lithuania, the premiere of a musical show from Italy is eagerly awaited: an official event in tribute to Toto Cutugno. The most beloved and famous songs of the Maestro will be played live from the stage. Fans of the classical music genre should be truly delighted, as Matteo Bocelli, the son of the talented Italian singer Andrea Bocelli, will also perform at the Palanga Concert Hall. The famous pop music group "Laid Back", jazz and soul artist, Grammy winner Gregory Porter, dreamy performer from Great Britain Katie Melua with her orchestra and many other great music creators will also give their concerts. Theater lovers should not be disappointed either, as a wide repertoire of performances awaits them. 

Representatives of businesses, various enterprises, companies, and companies from all over Lithuania also like to organize closed festive evenings and conferences at the Palanga Concert Hall. Occupancy increases especially during the festive period, therefore reservations are recommended in advance.  

Promotes tourism and accommodation      

"Different events held at the Palanga Concert Hall create added value for people who miss meaningful leisure and cultural entertainment. Business events and international conferences, which attract a large flow of participants, also positively influence the occupancy of accommodation and catering establishments, and contribute to the formation of a positive image of the resort. Guests have the opportunity to organize large-scale events and combine leisure with work or business," says Ingrida Valaitienė, member of the Palanga Council and director of the Grand Baltic Dunes hotel.      

This view was supported by Laura Taučiūtė, president of the Palanga Hotel Association. She is deeply convinced that both cultural and artistic events and conferences are a very important component of tourism.      

L. Taučiūtė also notes that the segment of Palanga's guests and tourists has changed and expanded significantly over the past five years.      

"Every year we receive more and more guests whose purchasing power is higher than average. I think this is due to many factors: the city's infrastructure, the growth of cultural life services, and the development of the accommodation and catering sector," says the president of the Palanga Hotel Association.
