A new, upbeat duo that will ensure a big dose of laughter is introducing itself to the Lithuanian music scene – singer, tenor Deividas Norvilas-Deivis and opera soloist, tenor Rafailas Karpis join forces.
As stated in the press release, in the fall, presenting a new project with the witty title "2 Metrai", the performers will meet with listeners in as many as fifteen Lithuanian cities.
The project "2 Metrai" is a performance full of humor and original musical interpretations, in which listeners will have the opportunity to hear not only fun arrangements of popular songs, but also original songs created specifically for these performances. This is not only a concert, but also a comedy, a performance and an improvisation in one.
"We have been friends for many years - we studied together at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, walked the same corridors, took the same exams. Later, we met in various projects, performed on the same stages and in television shows."
We both have similar complexions and get along great, so the idea of a duet gradually began to emerge. Finally, exactly a year ago, we talked about it publicly – while filming for television cameras, we promised to soon present the project "2 Metrai", - says Rafailas Karpis about the beginning of the new duet.
"We will try to surprise the listeners with original compositions created especially for the "2 Metrai" program, as well as to select as many colorful, upbeat songs as possible that we will add to the program. The most important thing for us is that the listeners have a good time and that the smiles on their faces do not disappear," say the performers.
The project concerts will take place at the Palanga Concert Hall on December 12th.
